About Learning Company

Every exceptional student deserves a partner who sees their potential, not just their current score.

I founded Learning Company because I was tired of seeing brilliant students trapped in generic test prep programs that treated them identically. To remedy this, I chose to create customized learning systems optimized for how each student actually thinks.

Since 2023, that philosophy has produced remarkable outcomes: 100% of my students have gained admission to at least one of their top-3 universities, earning $1.7M in merit scholarships. They also discover an intellectual confidence that serves them far beyond test day.

Since 2023

  • 88% top-2 acceptance

  • 77% top-choice acceptance

  • Avg student offered $100k academic scholarships (2025)

  • 100% offered academic scholarships (2025)

Basement Breakthrough

I wasn't naturally gifted at standardized tests. My first SAT attempt was 1980/2400.

So I got obsessive. I spent nine months at a folding table in my parents' basement, taking practice test after practice test. I was not just drilling; I was analyzing where I was losing points.

I discovered that if I could diagnose what caused each error, I could practice alternative problem-solving approaches that prevented me from making the same mistakes again. I started tracking patterns. I categorized question types. I tested different strategies and measured what worked. My final score was 2260/2400 (99%ile): Reading 690, Math 770, Writing 800.

My Journey

β€œThe test is a game with rules, not a measure of one’s ability.”

The Essay

I started in the low 600s on Writing despite earning A+ grades on AP Literature assignments. Then I worked with an SAT essay tutor who helped me realize that the test is a game with rules, not a measure of one’s ability. He showed me that the graders judged the essay on arbitrary measures like the number of "advanced vocabulary words" I used rather than my writing quality. The CollegeBoard reused the same six prompts phrased in different ways. As such, he had me compose and memorize my own template essay with strategic blanks that I could fill based on the prompt I chose. Come test day, I deployed a memorized formula without composing an essay. My score moved from 7/12 to 12/12.

Elite test performance is about understanding the system, not being smarter. The students who score 1550 are not necessarily more intelligent than those scoring 1350. They've just cracked the code. They know the patterns. They've optimized their approach.
